Your Support Helps Children Who Are Deaf and
Hard of Hearing Succeed

Congratulations and special thanks to the 20th Annual Spring Benefit Committee for their tremendous effort and tireless commitment to the school. Co-Chairs Michelle Porraro and Lynn Hendricks Rand and their committee organized a magnificent event at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club on April 20th, successfully raising more than $186,000 to support the school’s programs and services. This year’s presenter was Eva Scrivo, a highly-acclaimed hair and make-up artist, radio show host, television personality and an entrepreneur who owns one of Manhattan’s most prestigious salons.

We proudly honored Scot Guempel, a member of the Board of Trustees from 1999 to 2005 and chair from 2002 to 2005. Scot’s leadership, dedication and service are a cornerstone of the school’s history. Scot is a tax partner in KPMG’s Federal
Tax practice in Short Hills, NJ.

Generous underwriting was received from Bayview Foundation, C.R. Bard, Celgene Corporation, Dearhaven Fund, Susan Hendricks, Hendricks & Hendricks Attorneys at Law, Investors Savings Bank, KPMG, LLP, The MCJ Amelior Foundation, Pluckemin Inn – Gloria LaGrassa, PNC Wealth Management, Prospect Hill Foundation and Sandy Hill Foundation. Grand raffle prizes were donated by Hartshorn Portraiture, Tory Burch, F. Gerald New and the Kraeutler Family.

The 20th Annual Spring Benefit was a resounding success and we thank everyone who donated auction items, provided underwriting and brought colleagues, family and friends to this important annual fundraising event.
